The Winter Garden (2008)

The Winter Garden has been a favourite place for city residents and visitors to relax and enjoy rare botanical delights for over a hundred years. This oasis of exotic plants is a great place to visit anytime of the year. The Palm Room and Cactus Room feature over 200 plant species, including massive palms that reach to the ceiling and one-hundred-year-old camellia trees. The West Wing houses palmettos, a splendid magnolia grandiflora and many favourite houseplants from across the years. The garden is fully dressed to welcome visitors at both Christmas and Easter. In wintertime the garden shows off its Christmas Star poinsettias, azaleas, tulips, amaryllises, hyasinths and lilies of the valley. In springtime visitors are welcomed by Easter lilies and tulips. Visitors can also enjoy the fish in the fountain. In summertime the splendid Rose Garden offers a wonderful place to relax while taking a walk around Töölönlahti Bay, for example. Guided tours and private events can also be arranged at the Winter Garden.
