World Village Festival (2009)

Each year world cultures interact at the World Village Festival held in Kaisaniemi Park and Railway Station Square at the end of May. This year the festival will celebrate its 10th anniversary on 23-24 May, offering music, circus, dance, theatre, art and activities for the whole family. The anniversary programme this year features over a hundred performances from around the world, as well as a wide range of exhibitors presenting everything from NGOs to exotic cuisine. The event offers new perspectives on tolerant multiculturalism, development co-operation and global issues.
